Red Hat® Academy provides a curriculum to help education institutions keep pace with the demands of the industry. The curriculum involves hands-on instruction across the platform, middleware, and cloud technologies built with input from Red Hat development, support, and field consulting teams. Unlike a generic “distribution agnostic” Linux® curriculum, Red Hat’s curriculum is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, the leading enterprise Linux platform. Rather than learning theoretical skills, students learn practical skills based on use cases from thousands of enterprise implementations.

Red Hat Academic Training Program
Head of the Department Prof. Satvik Khara has provided a golden opportunity of REDHAT training which is coordinated by Prof.Karishma Gandhi and Prof.Darshil shah in which total 15 days hands-on training session was arranged where 22 faculties and 6 Lab Assistants actively participated. The session was conducted by Redhat experts Mr. Nilesh Vaghela and Mr. Trushit Chudasama of “ElectroMech Corporation" on RHCSA. Darshan Sir has taken 1.5 weeks of practice and exam oriented session.
Red Hat Awareness Seminar
A seminar conducted by experts for making the students aware about the open-source environment of Red Hat Linux. Also, the experts shed some light on the job opportunities available for students with a Red Hat certification
RHCSA Student Training Program (Phase-I)
A Red Hat certified System Administrator training comprising of 120+ hours of hands-on lab enables the participants to perform core system administration tasks. Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) course contains 80 hours which covers 40 hours of RHCSA-I (RH124) and 40 hours of RHCSA-II (RH134). This training opens up more opportunities for students making them fit for Linux System administrator, Senior System administrator.
Red Hat Day Celebration
The Red Hat academy of Silver Oak Group of Institutes organised and hosted “Red Hat Day” celebration on 6th July 2018. Due to the remarkable growth of Red Hat academy of Silver Oak Group of Institutes in a span of less than one year Red Hat provided an opportunity to celebrate Red Hat day at SOGI Campus. The day was celebrated to embark the success of Red Hat certified students and take the journey forward by spreading awareness among students of 3rd,5th and 7th More than 120 students marked their presence. semester students.
Workshop on Docker for students
The Red hat Academy of SOGI had organised one- day hands-on workshop on Docker for all Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) trained students of SOCET and ASOIT on14/09/2018.More than 25 students from CE/IT department of SOCET and ASOIT had participated.
RHCSA Student Training Program (Phase-II)

The Red hat Academy of Silver Oak Group of Institutes had organised a two-day hands-on workshop on Introduction to Containers, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShifton 08/10/2018 and 09/10/2018 with an active participation of more than 14 faculties from CE/ITdepartment of the institute.
RHCSA Faculty Training Program (Phase-II)
As an institute dedicated toward an overall development of students as well as faculties, Silver Oak Group of Institutes has raised a bar with another successful iteration of Red Hat certification - RHCSA Phase - II. 10 more faculties have received a “Red Hat Certified System Administrator” badge, who endured more than 120 hours of professional training in association with ElectroMech Corporation (RedHat Channel and Training Partner).
Red Hat Awareness Seminar
The Red Hat Academy (RHA) of SOGI had arranged an awareness seminar on January 9, 2019 inculcating the importance of Red Hat Certifications for a modern day technology aspirant. The session was conducted by Prof. Sunny Rupabhinda under the guidance of Prof. Satvik Khara (Head, Department of Computer Engineering), coordinated by Red Hat coordinators and supported by RHA team , indulging more than 400 students from 4th and 6th semester of CE/IT department. Bridging the gap between education and industry is the motto of RHA , SOGI and certifications from a leader of Open Source technologies like Red Hat, play a pivoting role in shaping the future of today’s Computer Engineers.
RHCE Student Training Program (Phase-I)
A Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) who is ready to automate Red Hat Enterprise Linux® tasks, integrate Red Hat emerging technologies, and apply automation for efficiency and innovation. 15 students have completed an enduring 140 hours of hands-on training of RHCE conducted by RHCE trained faculties of Silver Oak Redhat Academy.
RedHat Tech-challenge
SOU has hosted two rounds of Red Hat-Tech Challenge For RHA Students wherein students obtained the opportunity to prove their Red Hat/open source skill. More than 5 RHA from Gujarat took participate in this Red Hat-Tech Challenge.

Opens up more opportunities for 16 students and 1 faculty member for making them fit for Linux System administrator, Senior System administrator. Understanding of command-line based Linux system administration and foundation for system administration across all Red Hat products.
Red Hat Awareness Seminar
The Red Hat Academy (RHA) of SOGI had arranged an awareness seminar on, 31st December 2019 inculcating the importance of Red Hat Certifications for a modern-day technology aspirant. The session was divided into two slots. Slot 1 for 4th semester students and another for 6th semester student. Each slot was approximately 1hour long. The session was conducted by Prof. Avani Guna, and coordinated by Red Hat faculty coordinators and supported by RHA team.

Webinar on "How Redhat Training and Certificate Builds One's Career" interactive session with Mr. Nilesh Vaghela (Redhat Industry expert)
The Online Webinar entitled “How Redhat Training and Certificate builds your career”, held on 22th August, 2020, by Silver Oak University on Zoom Platform under the guidance of Mr. Nilesh Vaghela who is Founder of ElectroMech Corporation. This was an interactive webinar for students for understating the Redhat academy and international certification importance. The students gained an insight about how Red Hat is shaping the enterprises by expanding communities working over a varied number of technologies. Since Silver Oak has been focused on technical knowledge and exposure to corporate level training, these training not only add another feather to its hat, but also makes the students competent enough.
